Nina Michea was born in a small town called Jonesboro-Hodge, La but has resided in Lafayette, La since the age of 9. She is a proud graduate of Northside High School, home of the Mighty Vikings. While at NHS, Nina was a member of the NHS Drill Squad, student council, engineering academy as well as volleyball team. After high school, Nina Michea attended Grambling State University. She was involved in many roles and activities including The Society of Distinguished Black Women, Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She held the title of sophomore class president, Miss Junior and graduated as Miss Grambling State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication in 2012.

A firm believer in giving back with a passion for speaking, Nina’s desire was to return home and be in touch with her community. Nina says, “I don’t know if I came to radio, or if it came to me; but I love it. I thank God for his plans for my life.”
